Hi everyone, some of you may remember I was on here a few weeks ago with a problem.
Well the wedding was on Saturday and everything went very well and we all had a fabulous day. Sons girlfriends came and they are both lovely girls and we all got on very well. The ceremony, the reception and evening party all went smoothly, no arguments, or fights or drunken behaviour.
The Bride didn't actually make much effort with our family until late on in the evening but she did eventually have a chat and a dance with them all, she did the same with me and my hubbie as well - but there were over a 100 people there so its hard to spread yourself around when everyone wants to talk to you.
We have seen them since and been to their home and everything seems to be OK between us now - thank goodness. It was probably a case of wedding nervousness - although the sons girlfriends are both stunning looking so may be a little bit of jealously as well.
Thank you all for all your help, I am sure your advice stopped me making a bad situation worse - standing back a bit and keeping my opinions to myself was the best thing.
They had a choir at the wedding and I had asked if the choir could sing The Prayer, I have it on a Josh Groban cd and I love it, one of the choir ladies and a man sang it and it was just magical.
The weather was wonderful as well, a miracle for UK in April.
I hope everyone who has a wedding coming up has a great day like we had.
Good luck and best wishes to you all
