Good morning!

How is everyone this morning? I'm all icky. It's my last day and I'm not positive my replacement will be in today. I think we scared the shiit out of her yesterday.

I got one of the jobs yesterday. It's a temp to hire customer service. But it's not a call center. There's actually a LOT of room to move in this company. It's a 600 person world wide company, been around 100 years. So we'll see. However, there's another job I had a phone interview for that I'm holding out hope for. Since I'm just a temp at this point, it wouldn't be a big deal for me to 'quit' since there's no official offer or anything. But if I do decide to stay (and I will if I don't get this other job), I should go permanent in 2 months making much more. So everything is working out I guess.

    Congrats LV.

Not much going on here.  We are discussing when the kids will come out for Christmas and realied that SD de-friended both of us on FB.  We still trying to ecide if we should be upset or amused by this (she didn't set her locks well, we can see still her page).

And, we had a wallaby in the back yard last night eating our plethora of African Daisies (weeds)

  • Congrats on the job, LVB!

I'm sitting here with my caramel macchiato and apple fritter, yummmmm.

I don't have to be up in the court room until 9 (I am on a jury for a civil case), so I'm just chillin' until then.

  • GOOD MORNING!

Any day is better than Monday, and I get my first thanksgiving dinner tonight. Woot.

  • Good luck, LVB!

I'm at work.  Woke up in a really good mood this morning for whatever reason.  Probably because I have nothing going on after work tonight, for a change.  Usually my evenings during the week are jam-packed.

  • Congrats, LVB! That sounds like a great situation to be in.

Docta, I want your breakfast. That is all.

I'm good. Tired because I was up late with friends last night, but it was fun, so I won't complain. Oh, and I forgot a belt for this blousy tunic I'm wearing (I bike to work and change when I get here), so I just look like I'm wearing a very pretty potato sack. I'm going to try to just remain seated most of the day.
  • Congrats, LVB! That's so exciting! :)

Now that everything is out in the open here, I think it's going to be a strange week. I got the myriad of reactions you would expect from my coworkers yesterday when I made the rounds to let everyone know, after I turned in my resignation... someone's pissed at me, someone's happy for me, someone's only response was "yeah I already heard." I was nervous last week waiting for this to come down, I pretty much did all the catchup work I needed to do just trying to keep myself busy. So now I've got a week and a half left and nothing to do. LOL! Oh well.

  • Morning!

Congrats, LVB!  Everything will work out.
aMrs, wallabies (sp?) are so cute.  Do they let you get close or anything?
Fish I'm jealous you're getting Thanksgiving dinner!  I can't wait.
Bay- Yay for waking up in a good mood.  I love when that happens.

Nothing going on here.  I had a scare with one of my kitties yesterday.  When I got home she wasn't walking right.  Almost dragging-like, her hind legs.  Turns out it's because she's severely overweight (I knew this) and the vet thinks she's tired of caring the weight.  Hope he's right.  All her blood work came back fine and she's now on a super diet.

    SD = Step Daughter.
I know she de-friended us because she is in Grade 12 but her spelling, punctuation and grammer is that of a 7th grader and her vocabulary is that of a 40 year old long haul trucker.

  • Good Morning!  I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!  I'm craving the gym today, so I think I'm going to go after work.  I've never once felt the need to go the gym so badly - it's so weird.  It's probably because I haven't been in a few months.  I feel yucky!

Yeah, the apple fritters are so hit-or-miss considering how flippin' good they are.  I have found that I can only get them at full Starbucks locations, not at any of the smaller ones within hotels or buildings or whatever.  Which is sad, cause I love me some apple fritters.

And stack - I know what you mean about feeling icky.  I usually go to the gym every day, but this week I'm stuck sitting every day.  My only saving grace is walking to and from the courthouse!

One of the people I'm friends with announced that she had just deleted a bunch of people from her friends list. I'm figuring since I could still see her status I made the cut. Don't know if I should be happy about that. :-)

Good morning all. Congrats LVB, I'll cross my fingers for you on the other job.

AK - I know what you're feeling. When I put in my notice for my last job I had already squared everyting away (they knew I was leaving at that point) and I had two weeks to not do anything.

My boss called in sick today (she wasn't here yesterday either), which means it'll be another slow boing day here at the office.

  • Morning all! I'm having a weird morning because I got a tube put in my ear yesterday (like they do for little kids who always get ear infections) and everything sounds very loud now. I had an air bubble in my ear for 9 months and it was driving me up the wall, but I'm not sure this is any better. All I can hear is the hum of the air in the building and it sounds like it's inside my head!

Good luck on the job front, LVB!
Congrats on officially resigning AK! That must have felt good.
Hope everything is okay with your kitty MrsFezz.

  • Morning ladies!  I am mentally and physically exhausted from moving on Sunday and dealing with all of the technical difficulties yesterday (including having been given the wrong cover for our couch, getting the wrong cable box, wireless router not working properly, bed frame confusion, and a shower curtain hanging fiasco).  Not too much has actually gotten unpacked so that will be handled tonight after a much needed trip to Target for some stuff.

And my great aunt went into the hospital Saturday morning.  She's fine now, but since I'm the closest relative now that my grandparents have gone to FL for the winter I had to get over there (Jersey) Saturday and yesterday to make sure everything was going ok.

This.  If it's a family member, well, I'm assuming it will all work out (I've never had a family member defriend me, though, at least not yet) and if it's a friend or ex-friend, well...again, if it works out, fine, but I'm not going to go all YOU DELETED ME ON FB on them.

  • Two defriending stores;
    1) One time this kid I used to work with was bitching about Obama on facebook. He was talking about things that he didn't completely understand and made some comment like "f all of you that voted for him!!!!111" I didn't say anything just shook my head and went on with my business. A few days later I realized the stupid bastard defriended me. WTF?

    2) A girl I used to work with de-friended me, then asked to be my friend a few months later. what the hell?

First of all, I love your new sig pic!  And thanks, she's 92, but she's a tough old bird.  She had fallen out of bed a few nights before and was "disoriented" with a lot of chest congestion so they kept her for a couple of nights to moniter her oxygen levels.  She was feelign pretty good yesterday, her eye looks like she took a baseball to the face, though.

I'm in North Wilmington now.  It's about a half hour over to S Jersey.  Where are you?

I hate those ones! I'm not going to go to any extra trouble to make you keep me as a friend on FB. If you don't value my friendship in real life, then by all means, delete me, I probably won't even notice.

I also had a friend that deleted me (without me even realizeing it) and then added me again a year or so later. My first thought was, wait aren't we friends already. I didn't accept. If I didn't even notice you had deleted me in the first place I won't be friends with you now.
