People assume they're invited!

Hey guys, here's my problem.  We have a small venue and want to keep the wedding small, intimate, and affordable.  We've already written up a 90 person guest list (mostly family and really close friends), but ever since we announced it, people have been talking like they know they're invited.

We haven't even sent out save-the-dates yet!  The wedding is June 2012 and I keep getting "Oh good, we'll be in town that weekend!" and "If you need someone to sing at your reception, let me know. ;)" messages, mostly via public Facebook comments.  The problem is that most of these people aren't on our guest list.   That's a looonnggg time for someone to just assume they're invited and then find out later that they're not.

What's a tactful way to tell them we're keeping it small?  Should I respond to people individually letting them know or should I post a vague "I wish I could invite everyone, but the venue is too tiny!" status update? ...or none of the above?  Help!
