Addressing invitations?

Can I handwrite the addresses on my invitations?  I've seen both yay and nay on this subject, and I am just wondering what etiquette says. 

If it helps, I have nice handwriting- FH says it looks more personal.

Yes, it is considered good etiquette to do so.

Every etiquette book out there says you hand-write personal correspondence (which includes wedding stuff) and you type professional correspondence.  Hand write them.

I prefer handwriting.  It's more proper per etiquette, and it's more of a personal touch.

Agreed.  Seeing my name and address handwritten makes me feel special.  But then I'm super dorky like that. Love seeing my name on the escort card too.  Good luck!

I am handwriting mine as well. I learned a pretty simple style of calligraphy that I will be using.
