I posted about the wording of my invite several days ago and used the advice I got. I changed the 2nd line "At four-thirty in the afternoon" to "At half past four" (omitting 'in the afternoon'). Good thing I ordered a 2nd proof before they printed because they did not take out 'in the afternoon'. It got me thinking if that's actually what I want to say.
Here's my new question...Should I list the start and end time of the reception? It will end at 11:30 which is rather early to end a party in my circle of family and friends. I want them to be aware that it's over at 11:30 and not have to make an awkward announcement at 11:15 that the party's over.
Here' what I have so far:
Reception to follow
at half after four o'clock
Venue
City, state
Maybe change it to...
Reception to follow
four-thirty to eleven-thirty
ideas? I was trying to stay away from putting a hyphen in there. Thanks!
