Mom at shower

A friend of the groom's mom is throwing a shower for my daughter at the grooms' moms' house.....follow me?? 

Do I bring a hostess gift for them both, and if so, what's appropriate?

Are you the MOB? I didn't know the MOB was supposed to bring a gift for the hostess, I thought the bride was. I could be very, very, wrong though, so ignore me lol

I've never heard of the MOB bringing the hostess a gift.

ETA The mothers and the bridal party are invited to any and all showers as a courtesy.

You are a guest and IMO, not expected to bring a gift for the hostesses
