Did you ever PIP or do an update on your hair? I remember you were trying to decide what to do w/ it. What did you end up doing?

Re: **Sun**

  • I don't think I did PIP! I did try to take some pictures just after I had it done but my webcam had something spashed on it (god knows how!) and so it was all blurry... I don't think I have any new ones though, so this will have to do:

This picture makes it look straighter than it is in reality (and I look sort of perplexed because I was like, wth is wrong with this thing?!). It's actually curly. I was aiming for something like this:
    http://www.hairstyles-haircuts.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/medium-blonde-wavy-hair-330x388.jpg
Which it is rather like in reality although not in the above pic!

How are you anyway, gg? Don't see you around often when I'm on these days! Your furkids are looking super cute- the brown tabby looks so much like my Nomad did!

  • I love the cut - it suits you very well! Are you finding that it is manageable?

And I'm doing pretty well. Work wipes me out everyday and I end up napping for hours afterward. The nights then go by so quickly and then it's time to go to sleep and get up for work again. Boo.

Our cats are getting so big. Coco (the striped one) has turned much more brown than she was when we first got her a year ago. She is still the smallest, weighing about 8-9lb. The boys are about 11/12lb each. We love them so much, even though they are little terrors and get into everything. Bear (black) digs for q-tips in the trash, Henry walks around talking to himself, and Coco will lay on my hands while I'm trying to type. They're all too funny. How are your "kids" doing?? How are you?

  • Thanks! Because my hair is naturally wavy it's super easy. Just dry it a little, throw a little product in and then let it do the rest, pretty much.

I hear you on the work thing, although I can't complain; H and I are home today as H got sick at work. We had a four day weekend for the past few days (Australia day was yesterday) and partied with friends last night... then went straight from friend's house to work, worked for a couple of hours and now back home. I am feeling far too lazy! It's also ridiculously hot here, as usual.

All three of yours are gorgeous! Ours are well; our boys are 11.5 months old now. They're such sweethearts, just gorgeous. Chomp has recovered from mystery illness and was so good- he just chewed down his tablets as though they were treats, true to his name! He is really a big boy  (I think 12lbs or maybe a little more? Very big!). Tapi is smaller but ohsosweet. He's still getting eye drops for random eye infections but is doing well with them and is so good about letting us give them to him. Naia still dislikes the boys, but tolerates them now- she's just indifferent to them really.

  • I remembered that Australia day was yesterday. I know you Aussies take it pretty seriously! I missed it by 2 weeks when I studied abroad and was bummed to miss the festivities. I was there for ANZAC Day, but that wasn't really the same.

My hair is naturally wavy (and thick) as well. I can't find any products that hold the wave/curl well though. It just gets flat and frizzy.

Sounds like you have 3 great cats! I think it's funny that Naia doesn't like the boys, but at least she puts up with them. Ours get along really well, but fight a lot. Sometimes we need to break up fights and throw one in "time out." We just put them in their carrier for a few minutes to let them chill and separate them from the others, especially if they were the aggressor!

    Thanks Julez!

And gg, do they fight seriously or just play fight? Our boys play fight sometimes but they really do adore one another. Usually they just play tiggy (umm I wonder if you use that word? Like the game where you chase each other and someone is 'up'... I'm sure this is making no sense whatsoever!) around the house, basically.

I had a really good product that I was using for awhile but I ran out and they've since changed the formula. I bought something else from the hairdressers- I'll have to look at what brand it is. It's pretty good.

and yes indeed, Australia day is a big party day! It is the triple J (radio station) hottest 100 countdown as well. Yesterday we had a special party to go to- our Califronian friend became an Australian citizen yesterday and we went to their house for a very stereotypical (and totally unaustralian) 'shrimp on the barbie' party, haha. Was fun!
  • What is wrong with this thread? It keeps telling me that you're the last one to post here, gg, but I've reloaded so many times and still the final post I see is my own. Bizarre.
