Who to tip??

Based on what I'm reading on TK it seems that you don't have to tip the people who own the company. (ie. florist or photographer).

BUT what do you do when you've hired an 6 person band and DJ?? Do I have to tip each band member? And if so, how much? Tipping each person $20 is another $140 on top of the several thousand dollars that we've paid to hire them! 

Also, how much do you tip the Maitre-D?? TK says $200-300 but that seems like a lot to me. The Maitre D' at our venue doesn't really get involved untilt the day of. 

Help!

Depending on their performance, $50 each band member

I don't understand this part.  Your venue will add gratuities into your contract.  Pay that.If the maitre'd takes his thumbs out of his ass and makes himself useful at some point, give him $100.

There is a FAQ above that lists tips but it's really cheapo. User your own good judgement
