Laine - I love bloomers for some reason. They get a big "Aww" from me whenever I see them.

Yeah...  I went through the hassle to do the registry (it was seriously a month long endeavor because I had NO IDEA what the heck I needed or was looking at).  30 people at the shower and NO ONE bought ANYTHING off the registry.  But, we have more cutsey outfits and toys and blankets than we know what to do with (and, of course, no one included gift receipts with anything).  It also meant that we were left to get everything that we actually needed on our own.   

I felt horrible, but I was really disappointed.  Speaking of which, I really should get on the thank you notes...

TIde - I think that would frustrate me as well, esp the no gift receipts thing! I mean I figure that registry items = wants/needs, so I would definitely get a couple something off of their registry. We are thinking a carseat or changing table for our friends. Or one of those diaper disposal tower things. Something useful like that.

No Laine you weren't supposed to show up I really do want to get you and X lots of presents though

ps- we need to hang out again I think. I need more friends that own houses. I tried telling my single friend who lives with her parents still about how we had to spend $300 to fix our ancient toilet, and she could not have cared less. It was a big deal to me! Then she went out and spent the same amount on a pair of fugly boots.

Oh and I also had those bloomers when I was little, my mom made them for me I had a pair that said "Ho Ho Ho," and apparently I showed them to Santa at the mall one year. We have it on video I cant' believe I kind of mooned Santa.
