Early thank you note question

Just curious - has anybody here ever received a thank you note for a wedding gift before the wedding was over?  I'm sending them out as gifts come in, but I realized today that I have never received a wedding thank you note before the wedding took place.  All the thank you note posts today got me wondering...

    Write them as you receive them. That way the giver knows you got it. And then you don't have as much to do after the wedding. Win-win.

    I am writing them as they come in - I'm mostly just curious if other people have ever gotten thank you notes early.  I've never gotten one early, even for gifts I sent 2-3 months in advance.

    Also writing mine as gifts arrive...If I wait I'll forget.  So, keeping the gifts and a "thank you sent" in my guest list spreadsheet so I know whats what later on.
