So a few of you may remember one day a while ago when I came here asking if I would be totally insane to attempt to hand embroider a cover for a journal that I would then hand bind using coptic stitching, so that I could keep a little mushy love journal for H to give him at some future point in time. I was inspired by a combo of Bec's journal for her H and lots of coptic sitched handmade books on etsy, plus a random desire to learn to embroider.
Well, I am crazy, but I did it! It kind of looks like a first grader made it, but that is totally ok with me. And since I can't show it off to H, you guys get to see it. I am pretty proud of myself actually and think it's kind of cute. And now I'm going to knot on and off while I also embroider over parts of a really pretty fabric to frame and hang in our bedroom. I'm just crafty mccrafterson today. Anyway here are pictures, feel free to tell me how crappy it is or be insanely jealous about how awesome I am.

It says t

b if you can't tell, with a few dots and lazy daisies thrown in. I've discovered I love french knots and the chain stitch in embroidering.
Leo says hi. He's...special.
