Ok a little background first so please bear with me. This wedding started as a drive thru wedding planed for the middle of July, until my FMIL got her hands in it. And it has turned into a BIG affair that I admit they are paying for the majority of it. We dont have a lot of money and I am a single mom with 3 kids. And really my fiance had to talk me into this big shindig. So date got moved out to Nov just so I could pay for my dress and my daughters dresses and my sons tux. But I have still been trying to keep things small and simple and enexpensive. My attendents were my best friend for Matron of Honor, My oldest daughter (age 16) Maid of honor, my futur brother in laws gf as a bridesmaid FMIL suggestion. My 11 year old daughter as junior bridesmaid and my fiance neice 8 years old also as junior bridesmaid and her 4 year old twin sisters as my flower girls. To me that is A LOT! But what could I do? Its family. Well a few days ago I was informed that now my FMIL has added my fiance 3 cousins from Cali as groomsman. And one of them is Married so his wife that I have met ONCE very briefly as a bridesmaid. But I will still be an attendant short. We have 6 weeks till the wedding. How do you ask someone last minuite to be a bridesmaid? I mean my fiance has a really close friend since high school that lives out of state and I love her and think she is great. We are not close but they are and she was one of the first people to be informed of the wedding. I would love to invite her to be a bridesmaid. But HOW do I word that? I have always been a bit on the awkward side and tend to be more direct but I know this has to be handled delecately. My other option is to just be un even. I know that isnt a big deal but now that i though of asking her I really like the idea. And cant get it out of my mind. Help please!
