What commercials annoy you and why?

I can't stand most prescription commercials, but my most hated are the Yaz and Seasonique commercials. I hate the way they seem to emphasize the "k" and "s" sounds in their words. Before Yaz changed their commercial and they just had the curly-haired brunette talking, I hated it even more.

It may be because on days that I don't work (unlike today) the only programming I watch on tv are things like Wifeswap or Bad Girl's Club on Lifetime and Oxygen...so women's networks see these commercials alot.

My fave commerical is the lottery one (probably regional) with Kevin the goat who shoots flames because he ate the Red Hot Millions Lotto ticket. Yeah, I'm dumb.

I'm just gonna throw it out there that I love the Geico pothole. When FI complains about something really stupid, I always go, "Ooooooh nooooooooo!," like the pothole, which isn't a stretch because of my super awesome can't get rid of southern accent.

Commercials I hate though: the ED commercials with the bathtubs. I can't remember if it's Cialis or what. Or the over active bladder commercials with the weird pipe people.

That reminds me of my most hated. They involve Gus, "the second most famous groundhog in Pennsylvania." He looks a sloth and a bad weave had a love child.

*pretty much all pharmaceutical commercials. they should not be advertising because it is not up to the general population to tell their doctors what drugs they need.

These are probably regional, but I am so sick of Meth commercials and meth billboards. Just FYI, I doubt many meth heads are watching The View at 9 a.m.

I hate hate hate hate hate the tabasco commercial with the singing pepperoni pizza.  It creeps me out.  Also (though I haven't seen one for awhile) the fruit of the loom commercials with the people in the fruit suits (haha fruit suits) singing.

Oh and!  The Old Navy mannequin commercials, and the GAP pre Christmas commercials.  And I always love GAP commercials.  I was upset by them.  Now that stupid shiit is stuck in my head....I love my comfy sweater I love my comfy sweater!

A big ditto to whoever said, Swifter commercials.  I HATE those commercials.  They are the worst.  I cringe everytime they come on. 

I know there's a couple more, I just have to remember.

Oh JK, I forgot all about the Tabasco pizza. That commercial makes my gag reflex go into overdrive. The Gap commercial with the preteen cheerleaders was the one that really got under my skin.

Mucinex commercials. The little mucus people freak me out.
I actually like the Swiffer commercials, but only the ones that play the song "Love Stinks" because it makes me think of The Wedding Singer.  I'm a nerd.

Restasis. That "doctor"/"actress" thing annoys me. Her flat monotone and her look of almost bursting into laughter make me want to punch her.

Swiffer, Rx ads and the other usual suspects, but I can't think of any specific that haven't already been mentioned. Since DVR came to live with me I record and then watch just about everything, eliminating ads.

OH. MY. GOD. ME TOO!

Every time I see a commercial I want to take a sledgehammer to my TV. Even worse, it reminds me of a guy at work who unfortunately just got moved back to my group. He loves Gus and also Mr. Ed. He has a picture of Gus as his background on the computer so I see it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Sometimes he talks like Mr. Ed. And he says "Ruh-Roh" (Like ScoobyDoo) and "swell" a lot. I am convinced he lives his life as if it were an old tv show, comic book or movie, all of which he is a fan of. I also believe that if it weren't for the bit of sense of humor he has, that he would be a serial killer who skins squirrels in his basement.

I also have an issue with all GAP billboards ever since some marketing genius put one with REALLY tiny print up on a freeway where the freeway curves and you've got on and off ramps.  Excellent choice of location.  When people get in an accident trying to read your miniscule print, they'll have MORE time to read it while waiting for a towtruck.

I hate those toe fungus cream commercials where the animated fungus dude flips up the toenail and 'gets in it'. eeeewww!!!

oh, and I hate the levis (I think) commercial for their low-rise jeans where these women are walking around showing their navels and the navels are singing 'I'm coming out'--it's just weird.

Oh, I hate the new Reebok commercial where they're panning across a woman's nearly-naked body and it's not until the very end that you see that they're advertising shoes, and then it goes off.

I hate when I'm watching an HD channel and a commercial for the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush commercial comes on as well as the Quilted Northern Ultra Plush commercial.

It's something about the sound enhancement on HD channels, and those commercials---I hate the SH sound...it gives me the heebie jeebies or something. And the QN commercial says "ULTRA PLUSH" about 50 times in a 30 second span of time.
