Rent a Car vs. Hire a Driver?

FI and I only want a cool car when we leave the reception and go to the hotel.  Do you think it would be better to just rent a fancy car or hire a driver with a fancy car?

We rented a town car to leave the reception.  It was awesome.  I guess you could rent one and drive yourself, but you'd have to figure out how to get the car there and how to turn it back in....

Having a chauferred car was awesome. We were so tired, I'm not sure either of us would have wanted to drive.  Plus we'd each had a few drinks, so if we had planned to drive ourselves one of us (probably H) would have had to skip drinks all night (and he wasn't happy about that idea).

We actually looked into renting a cool car for the day, but it was cheaper to get a town car with a driver.

With a driver, you can just relax and enjoy -- drinking or no.

For us, we drove three hours from the reception straight to the airport, so driver it was! We never would have made that trip on our own. I suggest the driver because as you mentioned, you will be drinking and then you don't have to hold back or bother any friends or family members to drive you.

When I chose my wedding planner she had a picture with an awesome and very unique cool car that came with a driver.  FI hates limos so she helped me get access to that car and driver and we booked it right away.
