The other post about the bar tab had me wondering something.
I'm only in the beginning stages of the wedding planning, but we already know this will be a large (probably inviting 300) wedding. Although we enjoy a drink or two, FI andn I aren't big drinkers. Neither are *most* of our friends. Would it look cheap at a big wedding to only do beer and wine? I wouldn't want to spend however many thousands of dollars on hard liquor if people wont miss it, but I don't know if it's expected. We *could* afford it, I would just prefer to spend the $$$ elsewhere. I never have anything other than a glass of wine at weddings so I have no idea if my friends have had hard liquor at theirs or not!
