Finding the right dress for engagement party

Hey ladies!

Me and FH are having our engagement party in June and I need to find a dress. I'm kinda confused on what type of dress to get since we're having it on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted to get an elegant cocktail dress but don;t know if that would be appropriate since it's more for an evening affair. Any suggestions on this?

Do you know of any places where I can go to get a dress that is not a rip-off and in Brooklyn?

Hey!  You might wanna try Century 21 on 86st.  You might get lucky there.  Sometimes they have really nice dresses.  I got my engagement party dress at forever 21 and only paid $25 for it lol.  They have some really pretty dresses for a cheap price most of the time.  You can also try Macy's, you might catch a good deal!

I hate going to 86th street! It's always so congested lol. My friend mentioned Macy's in the city. i might check them out!

We had a Sunday afternoon cocktail party & I wore a dress by Terani (which I purchased at Nile & Hudson on 86th Street (across from Effie's). It's your E-party... it's ok to get a little dressed up.
