f/u to my "no good very bad day"

The culmination of this weekends sucktitude culminated in one final act of suckiness.
The power went out at 7pm last night and just came back on about 5 minutes ago.
So now I have a completely emotional bsc me, a sick chinchilla, fish tanks with no air getting into them, a freezer filled with food slowly thawing, an 80 pound dog who is absolutely terrified at darkness and a little black cat who is taking advantage of the situation by terrorizing the dog.

What did I do wrong that karma so sharply bit me on the butt?

On the plus side, the Chinchilla is doing really well this morning so at least thats looking up.

  • I'm sorry you're having such bad luck :(
Glad to hear your chinchilla is doing better, and your cat sounds pretty awesome.

  • Wow.  Maybe you should just run away for awhile.  Sorry your sucky weekend seems never ending.  Surely there's something good about to happen after all this.
  • She's a slinky cat. Dh and I were playing yahtzee by flashlight and she sat next to me for about an hour just staring at the dice.

I have cat envy. I've never had one, and I'm trying to talk FI into adopting one.
I'd be more persuasive if we weren't paying off a very large vet bill for the twitchy dog still.

  • Cats are sooo much easier than dogs, but I love my dog to pieces too. I'll love her even more when we move out of this place and dh doesn't have to carry her up and down the stairs so she can pee.

Julez, we had dinner with my sil last night and bil reallllly wanted to go to the movies (9:45 start and the movie was 3 hours long in a town 30 minutes away) K was just like "Hey G, I think Kristi wants to go home and pretend today didn't happen, lets rain check the movie k?" I gotta say, nothing cheers me up like her 3 year old though. She a little ray of sunshine.
  • Speaking of cats. I have a blue fuzzy blanket our black cat likes to sleep on. No, make that LOVES to sleep on and thinks she owns it. It's been on the floor at the foot of our bed for her to sleep on. I washed it Saturday. She went in our room to take a nap but no blankie!  She sat and stared where it should be. I could tell she was mad by the way her ears were. She sat there for a REALLY long time just staring at where it should be.   (also when she's mad she sits with her back to you).

  • Lol Demon does the same thing. She'll come sit in front of you, glare, then turn so she's facing the other direction. Either that or bite at my ankles whenever I try to move...
