I have a friend who is trying to get into the wedding photography business. After we got engaged, her SIL sent me a Facebook message and told me I should hire her for my wedding photographer. She posted on my wall about it a couple of weeks later. Now the friend's husband sent me a PM asking if I'd hired a photographer yet.
Nothing against a new photographer, but, I wanted a professional who has lots of experience. They keep telling me how cheap she can do my pictures, but I didn't want to run the risk of hiring a newbie. I ended up hiring one of the top 3 photographers in my area.
So, I told her husband who I hired and he got upset that I didn't trust his wive's work and blah, blah, blah. I feel like you can't compare a newbie to someone who has been in the industry for 20+ years. It's not like I went and hired a different new photographer.
So, my question is, how do you repair a friendship after this?
