Silly Yahoo! email question

So, I know what I have to do to change my name on my driver's license, social security card, insurances, banks, doctors, etc. But I can't get Yahoo! to change my display name on my email messages. LOL!!

Does anyone know the trick? I'm in the profile/account information... I updated my name in the Contact Information and it shows up correctly at the top of the page. But I just emailed my mom, and CC:d myself... and it still shows my maiden name. Ack!!

I don't use yahoo email but do they have maybe a "nickname" or "quick name" area or anything like that?

I feel like I've clicked on every option, this is getting annoying. Hehe. I'll look for a nickname...

I don't use yahoo either, but I know with my e-mail there is an "my account" button and then under that there is something that says profile where you can update your name and info.

See Missy, that's the thing. I got in to the account stuff and changed my name. It displays fine. But my name in the "From" field on email messages is apparently a different setting. Yeesh.

I just found the Help menu, it should be in there. Hehe.

I figured it out! Click on the little down arrow next to your name where it says, "Hi, Name." Click on Profile and a separate window will pop up. Click on Profile again on the side. Then click on "Edit." Then you will be able to change it!

Glad my e-mail isn't that difficult or I would be having a hell of a time, too. I hope you get it figured out. Your thread actually prompted me to change mine as I had never thought of it before. Just when you think you have everything done...lol

Haha thanks, Dudley! That's what I had done... and I was sending emails to myself with no avail. Then the bright idea occured to me that maybe I should log out, and log back in. Now it's working.

That's what I get for trying to do stuff that requires brain power this early in the morning on my week off. Oh well.
