I'm a BM in a DW in Oct. Yesterday the bride sent at email asking who is interesting if getting their hair and makeup professionally done...she said the cost of hair is TBD and that MU is $75 for full-face and $40 for just eyes.
Maybe this is my wake-up call to agreeing to be in the wedding, but I'm kind of realizing how quickly things are going to add up.
After paying travel costs (flight, hotel, boarding our dog), gifts and BM dress, I'm not sure how much more I want to put into the wedding finanically. 4 of 7 BM's have responded they want both H&MU and the others haven't responded. All of the BMs are OOT (but 2 are her sisters)
So do I go with the flow and say I'll do it (I'm thinking just eyes for $40) and then say I'm not sure on the hair (thinking I could do myself, and I'm nervous what the price will be) even though I'm not crazy about spending what I'm assuming will be $150+ on H&MU or do I be a Debbie Downer, say thanks for the offer but do things myself?
