  • Wow speedy delivery! I love her name. <3 I'm glad you are okay!
And I have also heard good things in the past about doulas.

  • She is precious.  Congratulations.
  • She's adorable Banana!  I love the name too :)

A friend of mine was a doula before she moved up here.  She really misses it.
  • Congrats, Banana!!  So cute.

I'm also thrilled to hear that you can still go natural even with pitocin.  I've heard horrors about pitcoin and no pain meds.  I know entirely too much about child birth for someone who is not pregnant and doesn't plan to be in the near future.

    Merry Christmas! :-)

They are fabulous if you get a good one.  There were so many times that I would have had awful contractions and it would have been just DH and me in the room by ourselves.  Nurses are great but they couldn't be in the room the entire time and when a nurse was in the room, they were often doing paperwork or examining the equipment monitoring Julia's heartbeat and my contractions.

She talked me through the awful contractions and was with me as I spent an hour and a half in the shower (which I thought was 20 minutes).    A nurse wouldn't have done that and DH wouldn't have had the confidence to know that I transitioned in there.
  • She's beautiful!

I was hoping you'd drop by soon, with or without pics. We miss you!

  • Aw Banana she is so precious! : )

That is good to know about the doula. I've been wondering if they were worth the money but it sounds like, at least in your case, she definitely was!
  • Congrats!!! :) Christmas babies are the best.
