PIP for the southerners

I passed this class act on I-65 today.  Thought it was worth sharing.

  • Big tires...

I warned Dh that the city we're moving to may have tractors on the back roads blocking the way, he was completely amazed at that thought.
  • What exactly is a mudding truck?

  • A truck that you take to go mudding of course!

Basically you go out after it rains and find an empty field, then do doughnuts in it and fling mud everywhere.
  •  I had to laugh at Sprite.  Muddin's what we do on Saturday nights. =-)

Not that I've any first hand experience with muddin'.  My brother has.

    It involves lots of beer.

  • So it's a truck you get dirty on purpose just because you want to get it dirty?

  • Haha yep night :) And yourself. I wish I had some pics of myself uploaded after a mudding rally. DH has never participated, but they're fun to watch. After a few beers.

  • Eh, my ex had a muddin truck and a low rider. One truck has huge freaking wheels and was built to do doughnuts and get dirty, the other was 2" off the ground and "looked cool". He spent a good $25k as an 18 year old making two trucks that were no where near street legal.
  • omg, if I ever got that dirty I couldn't take it.  It would really bother me.

  • We go mudding in Montana too. Can we be honorary southerners?

  • Ha! Goodness.

I saw a "Kill Em' All and Let God Deal With em" Painted on a truck with a FL tag the other day. I have zero idea who this person wants to kill but he is begging to be constantly pulled over.

I think I saw that one too. We see gems like this all the time. I have been mudding once, and was severly traumatized, but it is entertaining to watch them get stuck sometimes.

  • Ha! It was in Hattiesburg! Oh mud riding was the thing to do when I was a teen.

  • Well I don;t think they would have more than one of those, so I guess it was the same one!

If I was a farmer, I would be SO pissed if some dude in a dirty truck messed up my field like that.
  • Oh nebb, they don't do that. It's more like a field in the middle of nowhere. We don't disrespect farmers like that. ;)

Hmmm, I guess I just dont understand this mudding thing.
  • haha we even have some commercial spots around here.  Like they have bleachers set up and a big sign saying its a mudding spot and they have "events"

  • Muddin's fun in small cars too.  I ran with the rednecks and drove a Sunfire.  I took her out with the big boys.  The best memory I have of those guys was the little 4-banger Mazda truck pulling out the stuck Ford Bronco that had the big ol tires and 4-wheel-drive.  Or the time we got my parents 4WD Suburban stuck behind the shopping center.  Good times.  I miss those days.
  • Loved going mudding once last year.  It was good dirty fun.

A friend of ours had a part of his land that he would soak to a muddy pit on Memorial weekend, and about 50 people or so would come over with four wheelers and mud trucks to run through it.  One guy was an idiot and got his brand, spanking new Silverado stuck in the mud up to the drivers window.  Took two of the mud trucks, and finally the tractor to get him out.

Anyone that actually touched the field got reemed a new one, though.  You definately don't mess with the actual fields.
  • *sigh* How I miss going to mud bogs. Beer, friends and fun! lol

  • I'm not a southerner but we go mudding all the time. It's so funny to read this because I just assumed it was something everyone knew about. Lol.
