Vow renewal etiquette. (question answered)

As my hubby and I didn't get a real wedding or reception the first time (courthouse & lunch buffet) we wanted to go all out for our 10 year anniversary and do a renewal ceremony. 
My main question is this, can we still register for gifts? While yes we do have most everything we need for our home it would still be nice to receive gifts on our 'big' day.
Next is do you send out STDs, invites, and RSVPs just like you would have for your wedding day?

I would like this to feel as much as a wedding as possible, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

LowryCuisine, are you still planning a vow renewal for 2014? Knot Lili, a person who can make things happen in TK Community, has let me know she is researching the need for a Vow Renewal board. Wouldn't that be wonderful?! It would be great to chat with others planning vow renewals about topics specific to us! Knot Lili has told me she'd like to get opinions PMed to her on the idea.
