Rehearsal/dinner invites

Im just wondering who has to be invited to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner so I can get an idea of how many people are going to be at the dinner. Obviously all the people that are actually in the wedding, bridal party and significant others, parents, etc. need to be invited but other than that, who else? Do we invite all of our brother/sister and their husbands/wives and kids? Or just the sisters and husbands but no kids except the flower girls? What about family that is out of town?

Re: Rehearsal/dinner invites

  • Anyone that has to go to the actual rehearsal should be invited to the rehearsal dinner... So, if someone's child is in your wedding, they should all be invited to the dinner.

Also, if your having OOT guests (who are really making a long trek to your wedding), I'd consider them. Although, I don't think you have to do that, but it's a nice gesture if they have traveled far.

  • I'd invite anyone who will be in the wedding, and their kids, even if they won't be at the wedding. Why make people find sitters two nights in a row? Unless, of course, you're paying and the parents are comfortable with them.
