Do you know where your DH got the porcelain replicas of your venues? You mentioned that in the Best Gift thread. Was it custom-made? I would love to have one of my church. And I know some of our relatives would, too. It could make a great gift.

I don't know for sure how you could get one but the company is LeMax and they make lots of christmas village things.  They make replicas of a few different building from out city (which is odd since it's not a big one) I heard a rumor that someone here in town contacted them and convinced the company that there was indeed a market here in Sioux Falls.

I know of something similar - it is called Cat's Meow Village.  It's not a 3D porcelin creation, but you can send a picture of a building and they will create a wooden recreation of it (painted, not 3D).  You can also have a "hostory of the building" or "special story/message" put on the back so you always know why that piece is so important.

The cake thing is cute, but starts at $500. That's a little excessive, IMO.

mscutieri, that's a great idea. I bookmarked that link. I've seen things like that before. MIL actually has several, so getting one of our church (where she also got married) wouldn't be a bad idea.
