NWR: Pampered Chef?

My fiancé and I just got our first house together (renting), and are in the process of transitioning from apartment living. His mother is/was (I'm assuming she still is) a pampered chef consultant, and told us to look through the catalog and let her know if there was anything we wanted to order.

Is there anything in particular we should definitely get or stay away from?

Re: NWR: Pampered Chef?

  • I LOVE my pizza stone and pizza cutter.   I also have an awesome spoon rest, and a bread knife that I love.  And chip clips.

  • Love my food chopper, the garlic press, the batter bowls, scrapers, veg peelers, all my stones, pizza cutter.

I used to be a consultant, so I have a lot.  Feel free to ping me if you have a question about any particular item.

  • i like their stone casserole.  You can make a lava cake in the microwave in just a few minutes.   :)

  • A pizza stone and one of the stoneware bar pans are definitely on the list. Chip clips are the best! His mom gave me some for Christmas and I love them.

Thanks kjhowd. I might do that :D
  • Happy to help.

  • The skinny spatula for scraping out jars and the peanut butter measuring cup are the only two things I've bought from there where I haven't liked someone else's version better.
  • Their knives! I have the green ones, which I love, and those are the bottom tier. :)

  • You can't go wrong with Pampered Chef if it's an item you will use.  It's great quality and lasts forever.  My FMIL did a Pampered Chef bridal party for me- where she threw a PC party and then the attendees bought items off our wedding registry guest list for us.  It was awesome!  I'm so excited about how great our kitchen will be!

    Good luck!

  • I love their all in one measuring cups and somebody else mentioned there color coated knifes. I have the santoku and love it. I also love their pitchers.
  • Definitely check out the stoneware and the microcookers.  My mom did a lot of pampered chef parties, too, so I've got a lot of pc stuff--yay!

  • Their little tongs was the only thing I was willing to spend what they ask on. We do like them though.
  • The stoneware is great for baking, it distributes the heat well.  But it is heavy, and has to be seasoned much like cast iron.  I mostly use my shallow baking pan for cookies and breads, but also have some casserole dishes and pizza stone I use occasionally.

What I use the most is the microwave steamer pans, a small saucepan size, and a slightly larger one.  I use those all the time to make steamed vegetables and baked potatoes in the microwave.

I also like the food chopper, garlic press, and the little plastic scraper gadget for doing dishes.
  • Stoneware, icing gun, cookie press, dual measuring(for dry and liquid products), pizza cutter, micro cookers, Crinkle cutter, orange peeler, basically everything. I love it ALL!
