There's a girl, I can never understand what she says, and I quote

Is this a song I don't know about or something?  Oh, and today she's updating us on her court hearing via cellphone.
I played softball with her and she used to be awesome, hmm.

If it's a song, I don't know it either. FB makes people stupid, I think. I have a FB related development of my own though: FI applied for a job at FB about a week ago. They emailed him yesterday and want to do a phone interview with him today! Yay!

Can we share our own FB stories?  I unfriended someone last week because they talked about drinking a $200 glass of scotch.  Pretentious much?

I've unfriended a couple family members because they are complete morons.  One of them always talked about going out and getting "crunk" when he should have been taking care of a newborn.

The other one was a cousins girlfriend who posted something about my aunt passing away before I found out.  Later that night when I talked to my grandma about it, she said when it was posted, it was like 10 minutes after aunt passed away.

Then I was just pissed.

Is it horrible that I am stalking FB to find out when my uncle dies (he is old and frail and has pneumonia and its only a matter of time)? I have been getting updatesfrom his kids and grandkids, and I think I'll get my news there faster than the phone tree.

I don't think that's bad if its a faster way to communicate, after I read that update on fb, I called my mom and she was like "how did you hear that?  I was going to call you this evening."  So I didn't have to be upset at work.

I only have one friend who bugs me.  She is a SAHM with 2 kids, and every update is 'Doing laundry', 'bed time, hope the baby sleeps', 'family time with the kids'.  It is never, ever, EVER about her- always about kids or housework. 

She makes me not want kids because it sounds like it's a never-ending stream of cleaning and laundry.  Every. Single. Day.

Ugh, there is a girl that I went to highschool with that is counting down to her wedding, updates it on a monthly basis.  Today she is at 500 days.  She only just got engaged a couple weeks ago but she has been counting down the months for a loong time.  She also got a tiffany's ring and doesn't. shut. up. about it...and all of her pics from her engagement pic involved her holding up her hands in a REALLY weird way.  I might have to edit a pic and show you guys, b/c they are hilarious and pathetic.

That is something I l would love to see.  There's a girl who always has her hand showing in pictures, but its like she places it there, trying to be subtle.  Then again, if I rocked a 3 carat ring, I would probably shove it in people's face too.

I have a friend that posts passages form the bible every day.  One day she had a post that was a passage from the bible saying basically that if you don't follow god you'll be punished and then she followed it up with a message about how she wishes all of her friends would just follow god.

And if she sends me one more FB event request inviting me to some stupid church thing she's off my friends list.  I'm an atheist,.  You know this.  Leave me alone!

I unfriended someone last friday. She changed her status to "Karen is taking cash donations for the Karen Needs Serious Cash Foundation. I accept cash, cheques, money orders and email transfers. It is for a good cause -- ME!", my husband and I were both horrified by this so he commented that we already donated our money to Haiti because they actually need it. She deleted his comment and I passive agressively changed my status to "Nebb is disgusted by how awful and self involved people can be, you know who you are", then waited for her to see it and deleted her.

It felt nice.

When we get together she NEVER discusses religion, so I'm not entirely ready to give up the friendship, even though this particular aspect annoys the crap out of me.  We haven't been seeing each other much lately, so maybe the FB thing will catch up with the positives in our relationship and I'll be ready to take that plunge.

The updates that people come up with are the worst.

Kiki, I feel you with the SAHM's on the friends list. How much laundry can there really be if you're truly doing it every day?

This one girl will post "DOING LAUNDRY THEN PICKING UP THE HOUSE THEN GETTING THE KIDS FROM SCHOOL THEN COOKING DINNER. WAIITNG FOR MY HUBBY TO GET HOME."

The next day "GOTTA GET THIS HOUSE PICKED UP. THERES LOTS OF LAUNDRY TO DO!"

And it goes on. Is that really all you do?

I also hate all of the FML over-usage. You have to go to class? FML. You have to go to the grocery store? FML.

FML is when it's like, "Wow, I just spilled water on my shirt and it looks like I'm lactating. Even better, I have a presentation in 5 minutes. FML."

People mess up anything that was ever funny.

Well the second half of the post is from a song, but basically it's a stupid song about getting drunk and degrading women.

I also have friends that post bible quotes every.single.day it's annoying, No one gives a crap about your religious talk 2-3 tims aday, sorry but not everyone is christian and you will not reach people via facebook.

However I have defriended people for constantly posting political views in their statuses or in mine. Like seriously does a post mentioning a doctors office need to turn into a political agrument about the validity of social health care? Irritating

Ha im a stay at home mom with 2 kids ( 3 and 1). When FI comes home he always tells me how nice the house looks. The other day my response to that was ' yeah well it took me sense 11 to do it' (he comes home at like 6pm. Every time I put a toy away they NEED to have it back. Welcome to my cycle. I love the kids more than life but seriously I need some meds hahaha j/k
