Invitation Wording

Is there any way to include my parents, FI's father and his new wife, and FI's mother on the invites without sounding too wordy or garbled?

I'm not interested in making a show of who is paying and who is not because then I would have to leave off FMIL and I know she would be hurt, or at least bothered, by that. I just thought it would be nice to have all their names. If not, I'll go with a general "You are invited" type.

Thanks!

  • I just put "Together with their families".  Less wordy, nobody gets his/her feelings hurt.

  • Exactly like PP said -- my parents have been together for 27 years, FI's parents are divorced but his mom kept her married last name so we're just using "together with their parents" but in your case I would say "families" if FI doesn't consider his dad's new wife one of his parents.
