Re: I thought we were done with this

  • I second this sentiment. Also, wasn't Thora Birch on American Beauty? What happened?

LilG, I was working in Lynn when the pregnancy pact thing happened, and I was like, are all people on the North Shore crazy? I know that's not true, but it seemed questionable at the time.

  • This movie might just make young girls do this again.  Why can't they just let it go?

Jamie, maybe dramatizing it will scare off any girls who think this is a good idea. It will be like an afterschool special. :)

LilG, admitting it is the first step! JK. My "crazy" question was biased by the people I was working around in Lynn at the time. How does it go again... Lynn, Lynn / City of sin / You never come out the way you went in? I actually liked it there, and told myself that the rhyme related to the crazy road system.

  • Ohshit, there's a song? I must hear more about this at another time. Good night LilG!

[QUOTE]I was living in Watertown when this broke, but the school I worked for recruited heavily from the North Shore, and I always hoped someone would bring it up when I was visiting high schools. It boggled my mind.

  • It sounds like the pet store I managed. At one time we had 3 pregnancies at once, all under the age of 20, all not married, all intentional. They were all just so excited they got to dress up their babies like dolls and aw them around. Then it became a realty and now they are all 21-23 and regret having a kid that young.
