PIP - Jewelry Suggestions? (NWR)

I have my company Christmas party this Saturday night and I am NOT good at picking out jewelry.  Any suggestions?  This is my dress & shoes.  Ignore my weird "pose", my pale-ass skin and my chicken legs, haha.

What do you do for work?

I only ask because that wouldn't be an appropriate dress at our company christmas party, but if that's the general attire for the group, then by all means, rock it.

  • Ugh, I do marketing for a commercial real estate company and it's slowing sucking my soul away.

They do throw nice parties, though.  This place is actually where I'm having my wedding and the men have to wear jackets so FI will be in a suit.

  • Haha, oh no Fishy, I'm sure I will NOT be the sluttiest one there.  Last year one of the broker's wives wore really tight shiny leather pants.  Most of the women wear a LBD or some other cocktail dress.

  • I would pick something sparkly, or maybe even something red and black since it's for a Christmas party.  Maybe a chunky bracelet and dangly earrings, or a sparkly necklace with smaller earrings.

I would also wear a wrap with that dress.

  • I'd go with a shorter, chunky necklace because of the neckline of the dress, and some simple (like studs) earrings.
  • My first thought is something sparkly.  With snowflakes.

  • Sparkly necklace. Silver or rhinestone-ish. If you do just a silver necklace, maybe some silver bangles and earrings, too. If it's a really sparkly necklace, I'd just do some studs and leave it at that.

  • Great, thanks for the suggestions ladies! :)  Good excuse to go shopping.

  • Ditto all the sparkly. And a short necklace if you do one. A long one would look too costumey with that dress. FWIW, I think you look fantastic.

  • Thank you Beatles! :)  I'm really excited because it will be the first time I've ever seen FI decked out in a suit & tie and he looked so damn cute trying it on in the store with just a tee shirt, I'm probably going to pee my pants, haha.
