Vow Renewal

My husband and I want to renew our vows for our 25th wedding anniversary next year.  I would love to hold them on the same date but that would be the middle of the week, not so great for a party.  So do I have the renewal the weekend before or the weekend after?  Which would be better?  Help!!

Whichever you decide. It doesn't really matter if the date you wanted is in the middle of the week. You either have it a few days before your actual anniversary or a few days after your anniversary. Really only you and you husband can make that decision.

Depending on the kind of party you are having, and if you are planning on having OOT people, but you might be able to just have it on the day.  My family has done several dinner parties for 80th birthdays, anniversarys, etc. on weeknights because nobody had to travel.  

Ditto mkrup though that it is up to you.  Personally I would probably choose to do it the weekend after only because then we would already be at our anniversary date, but that's only if I was searching for a reason to choose between the 2.

I think it's just whatever you want, before or after does not matter. Maybe start by making sure where you want to have it is free as the choice may end up being made for you by availability of what you want.
