Good photo backgrounds around City Hall?

We're getting married at the NYC Marriage Bureau and then will have a few hours to take pictures in the immediate vicinity before going to our reception at City Hall Restaurant (Duane and Church Streets).  We want to wander around that area and find some great NYC street/park scenes to serve as photo backgrounds.  Anyone else find good places to take pics around there?  Obviously the Brooklym Bridge and City Hall park are right there, but I'm also looking for more nontraditional things, like interesting architecture, industrial-looking places, bright graffiti, lawns, quiet little corners, etc.

<div>You're not far from the Seaport, which of course has gorgeous traditional views, but also little quirky cobblestone areas. Good luck!</div><div>

i second the seaport.. old front street and peck slip have a great cobblestone area and you can get the brooklyn bridge as your backdrop. Last time i was over there they were doing construction though.. so be sure to check on that. There's always wall street for those old new yorky type of photos. tons of tourists but they'll be polite and let you take your photos :)

I was looking through my research notebook and I have a page already started on this lady.  She has whole portfolios of City Hall weddings, which we are considering doing in advance of our larger wedding in the Hudson Valley next fall.  http://www.angelacappetta.com  --I remember that she had a whole portfolio right here on the Knot, of great CIty Hall backdrops etc, whcih is how I found out about her in the first place.  Here's the link to those:  http://weddings.theknot.com/Real-Weddings/43389/view.aspx?type=1&id=43389
