proper time to send thank yous

We just got our first gift for our wedding which is about 2 1/2 months away still. We already have personalized thank you cards with Mr. and Mrs. Last name on them. Should I just send a different card out now to those people, or is it okay to wait until after the wedding to send the thank you? After the wedding I will have the thank you cards mailed within a week.

[QUOTE]Send a thank you now so the sender knows you got the gift.  Don't use your married name, though.  Get a generic thank you card and send that.

<div>This! Send thank you's right after you receive gifts. Those received at the wedding you have a month after the honeymoon. </div>
  • send it right away and don't use the 'Mrs' cards.
  • thumbs up, thank you will go out on Friday since thats my day off : )
