Asking who's contributing

My family is the type that doesn't 'offer' things (they see it as 'strength' or something to make you ask for what you want).  Which makes the whole 'planning a budget' part of the wedding that much more stressful.  I don't want to ask in a rude way, or come across as demanding.  But, at the same time, I know that, unless I explicitly ask, it'll just go on as an unspoken thing which will drive me up a wall (and make it pretty hard to plan).

What's the best way to go about asking my family if they plan to contribute (my family's pretty unconventional -- no mom or dad, but my aunt and uncle have been in a 'parent' position my entire life, and my aunt has already said that she's going to help plan the wedding (and I'm not even sure if that's code for helping to pay for it) and they're not in any sort of financial rough spot).

Thanks!
