have a question and could use a little etiquette assistance. We're having a small wedding (approx. 75 guests) and my fiancee and I both have cousins in their late 20s/early 30s who are not in long-term relationships (as well as 1 bridesmaid). We would love for them to bring a date so they have someone to socialize/dance with, etc. particularly because most of the guests are family who are older/extremely religious and will not dance. We would like everyone to have fun at their own level. But the "and guest" etiquette states that it's inappropriate to word things that way on the invite. Is there a more appropriate way? Can I request the name of their date on the reply card so I can be sure to put it on the place cards? Please advise.
