Prospect Park Picnic House Brides?

I am getting married on April 9, 2011 at Prospect Park Picnic House and am really excited! I'd love to hear from anyone who is getting married there or has gotten married there! Any recommendations on vendors or someone to help out the day of with setting up the tables and hanging lanterns from the ceiling? Any help is welcomed!

    I love it there!!!!!  I used to live near and it is gorgeous!!  What vendors do you need?  I will recommend a few that  I am using and love :-)

     Hi!!
    I am getting married there the following Saturday. I noticed in the contract, it says nothing can be hung from the ceiling. I emailed Christine today bc i also want to do paper lanterns.  I have not heard back yet. I actually want to hang them from the metalwork, not the actual ceiling. Does anyone know about this rule? When I visited, the Picnic House the  manager guy was there and said  people did this. But, this was before I had the contract. I also saw they have the right to cancel us.  I want to make sure that in the event they do cancel us, we would be fully compensated for all the money we would lose. Can you tell I am marrying a lawyer?

    I got an email from Christina this morning saying the lanterns were okay. She did advise the  set up and removal may take extra time. Great point. she is wonderful.

    Hey Amy,

    I would love to talk through the types of lanterns you are getting! I have been thinking through what I want to hang and my biggest fear is hanging too many will draw negative attention to the ceiling. Have you seen any pictures where people have done it there?
