Realistic NYC prices for flowers, photos, photobooth

We are having a City Hall ceremony in the mid-afternoon and then an 80-person evening reception in a restaurant in Tribeca on a Friday night in October.  We plan to be pretty low-key, partially as a way of saving money.

Do you think these budget amounts are realistic?  I'm trying to find numbers that are low but not crazy or require DIYing:

$2000 - photographer for ceremony and reception
$750 - 2 large flower bouquets (in the foyer areas), 4-5 smaller bouquets for the reception room (not centerpieces, just decorative), 1-2 manzita trees w/candles
$1000 - photobooth

Could anyone share their costs for something similar?  Thanks!

  • Dreamlife and BACD photography have photo packages in your budget.  I'm not sure about the cost for the flowers but you may want to contact Big Apple florist.  Tell them your budget and they'll let you know what they can do.  This will also give you a starting point.  I think you can find a photobooth for that price.  Keep a look out on groupon, livingsocial, etc.  They sometimes have some pretty good deals for photobooths (up to 40% off).
  • You're definitely not off the charts with your budget. Try Royal Photo Booth, Angelica Criscuolo Photography, and Ivie Joy Augustin-Gonzales's floral arrangements are spectacular. She's branching away from Celadon & Celery but much of the work you see on the site were created by her!
