Wedding Gift w/o a card

Hi Ladies,

Would anyone happen to know what you should do if you recieve a gift and there is not a card? TIA

Re: Wedding Gift w/o a card

  • Have you seen if you have any extra cards floating around that aren't attached to gifts? Sometimes they fall off and get separated....if you have one card, and one gift, chances are they go together, right?

Otherwise, I'm stumped.  Interested to see what other people say...

  • Sometimes you can figure it out by process of elimination.  But if that doesn't work or the advice of PP the only other thing I can think of is start asking around.  I'd start with both sets of parents.  They might know who bought you X.  Or if someone says to them 'hey did your daughter receive my gift of X, i never got a thank you note'.  Your parents can say 'she received it but the card was lost so she didn't know who it was from, she'll be so happy to finally know who to thank'.

    Good Luck on your search!
  • Was it mailed to you?  Usually if it's from Macys or BBB, somewhere on the packaging it will say who sent it.
  • a good tip my mom taught me:  when you wrap a wedding gift, wrap the card INSIDE the gift.  that way you never have to worry about the card inadvertently getting separated from the gift.

as for OP, try the suggestions above.  also, if the person doenst receive a tahnk you they may contact you.   if 6 months passes without a thank you, i politely inquire of the couple as to whether they received my gift.
