vegetarian hors d'eourvres

We are having a casual evening cocktail / horsd'oeurve party reception.  Should I mention we are serving only vegetarian hors d' eourvres? Or just mention that n the website?

<div>You don't need to mention that you are serving vegetarian food, but like MilkDuds said, you need to serve enough hors d'oeurves to constitute a meal if it is at a meal time.  </div><div>
</div><div>If it's not at a meal time and you want to let people know that you're not serving a meal, you could put something like "Cocktails, hors d'oeurves, and dancing" on your reception card or on your website.  </div>
  • Ok fine, they decided to remove the other post that I responded to even though it was clearer.

I was saying, don't mention anything about the type of food you are serving (i.e. vegetarian).  Just make sure that the food is very good that people won't notice they don't have meat.  A lot of vegetarian food will make you forget that.

    Good luck!
  • No need to mention it's vegetarian.
  • Out of curiosity, what kind of appetizers are they? My venue's included appetizers are fruit, veggies, artichoke dip, crackers/bread and cheese. Even with my food restrictions from having weight loss surgery, there are still plenty of options. What I'm getting at is that even if they are veg only, as long as they're substantial I'm sure it won't be a problem and there won't be any WTF where's the meat? thoughts.
