seating etiquette PLEASE HELP.. 16 days left!

my wedding is 16 days away, so youd think id have it all together.... but im still trying to tie up some loose ends, like seating charts etc... i want to use name cards at the family table, but im unsure of the proper way to seat the family.... brides fam first? or grooms family?

There isn't really a right way. We had both parent tables right next to each other up near where we sat with our WP. We asked each set of parents who they would like to have at each of their tables and then sat everyone else accordingly.

i did mine randomly, i made up the tables then drew #s. I only switched a few around when i realised it made more sent to sit them by a different table.
