Recommendations?

Where do you shop for clothing (online)? I'm tired of the stores around here, which are pretty limited, so I'm looking around online for clothes and of course, I don't know where to look. I'm looking to change up my style. I haven't bought new clothes in over a year, since we were saving all of our money for the wedding. So my clothes mostly consisted of jeans and t-shirts. Help?

Re: Recommendations?

  • I shop mostly at Ann Taylor Loft, White House | Black Market, and The Limited.  H and I hit up the outlets when we can, and I usually find a few things at the Tommy outlet for good prices.

I don't shop for clothes too much online, but the first 3 do have websites.

  • I can honestly say that I have never shopped in any of those stores, and I'm excited to check them out. I'm limited to pretty much Macys, JCPenneys, Sears and Elder Beerman around here, and I'm not thrilled with their selections of womens clothing and I hate shopping in Juniors.

I'm about an hour from Indy. Do you know the name of the mall near Indy? I just now realized that you're in Indiana too!
  • Ohh I've been to Hamilton a few times. Not really to shop though, mostly to eat and go to the IMAX theatre. DH and I are actually planning to go shopping on Sunday, so maybe we will go.

[QUOTE]I have a lot of luck at White House Black Market, Express and Ann Taylor. Are you close to Indy?  There is a newer open air mall by the Verizon Wireless Music Center called Hamilton Town Center.  (Exit 10 heading south toward Indy on I69).  Tons of shops there. Also, H&M is at Castelton Mall.  I don't think they sell online, but I can always find a ton of stuff in store. If you are close, try Clay Terrace in Carmel as well.  (146th & Meridian)

Oh I miss H&M :( I've only ever been to it when I was visiting Indy or Chicago, but I've always found so many things in it. I wish there was one closer to me.

I shop at New York & Company a lot. I get my jeans from Old Navy because I'm in a weird size where  I dont always fit into regular size pants at stores and plus size is too big on me. Pants fit me at NY&C, but they come too high on my hips for my liking.
  • Hmm, online shopping.  Well, for basics, I wait for Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic to have sales then take advantage of their combined shipping for $7.  Oh, and sometimes jcrew has great sales.  Since I know my sizes at all of these places, I can get basics without trying them on.

Oh, I also shop at victoriassecret.com whenever they're having a sale.  Believe it or not, their pants fit me better than most, it's not just about their lingerie.  My favorite winter coat is from VS.
  • If you online shop a lot, check out www.ebates.com and www.retailmenot.com (if you haven't already). I usually sign in through ebates to go to the stores and then get coupons from retailmenot.com. It makes me feel slightly better for spending money when I know I'm getting some cash back and good deals. Or at least that's what I try to tell myself. :)
  • Nordstrom, Saks, White House Black Market, and Bergdorf's top my list for online shopping.
