Yes. In fact, I was a vegetarian all through my early to mid 20s.  why or why not? I have this whole "sanctity of life" thing. I can't even kill bugs. In order to eat meat even now, I just can't think of it as having been alive. However, my moral compass is totally overthrown by my love of a good steak. I have very weak principles... and I'm ok with that.

1b. vegetarians - could you ever eat any type of meat again? - If I had to, I might be able to eat seafood, but mixed in with other stuff so I wasn't just chomping on seafood. And I'd have to not think too much about it. Or possibly these chicken fingers (boneless wings) we used to get in college.

2. best part about fall? - weather! It's rainy and dark out now. I love it. I love the crisp air that turns the leaves.

3. what do you miss most about summer (aside from the weather)? - not much, honestly. I'm not really a warm weather girl.

5. what's on your christmas list so far this year? - Haven't thought about it.

 1. could ya ever be a vegetarian?  why or why not?  No - There are too many things I love that involve a big ole hunk a meat. Plus I live in Mississippi - we're big carnivores down here.
2. best part about fall? The clothes, the weather and the colors.
3. what do you miss most about summer (aside from the weather)? I do NOT miss the weather - I'm SO glad the humidity is under control now! I do, however, miss sundresses and flip flops.

5. what's on your christmas list so far this year? I want a year of Personal Training. It's $25/session 2x Week. $2600/year. Ouch.

I don't think I could.  I'm not a huge meat eater, but I do like it enough that I wouldn't want to stop eating it completely.

The weather, the changing leaves, the smell of fireplaces, and my birthday!

Taking a week off of work for vacation.

Ah nothing yet.  And my birthday is in November, I don't even have anything for that yet.  Probably just cash and gift cards; I need to save up for the wedding/buying a house.  I could also use some more nice work clothes.

I used to be obsessed with buying organizational things while I was in my dorm in college.  File folders and little sets of drawers and such.  They haven't gotten used since I've left my dorm.

4. it's not thanksgiving without _______.  Mashed potatoes.  My IL's do not make mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving and it always feels like my meal missed something.

6. most frivalous item you've ever purchased?  Hmmmmm........maybe a projector with 100" screen.  That we never use.  We have an entire movie room that we haven't turned on in over a year.

1. could ya ever be a vegetarian?  why or why not?  yes.  i eat vegetarian most days of the week.  unless i actually crave meat or go out to eat, i'll have veggie pasta, veggie pizza, veggie sandwiches.

I don't miss the weather.  It was hot as shiit this year and basically miserable everytime I went outside.  I will miss the BBQing and boating on weekends though.

I am not sure location would factor in for me.  I am from Alberta.  The place in Canada with the best beef.  I am from a small town that is surrounded by farm towns.  And my city is home of the world renowned Calgary Stampede.  Beef is def not my fave.  Neither is chicken.  Shrimp is I think.  I do like burgers though.  Best part of a hangover is the burger.

FI and I are trying out the vegetarian thing for a while. It's not for Animal cruelty or anything. Vegatables are cheaper and better for you than meat is. The human body is not made to digest meat. If it was, our digestive systems would be short, like a tiger. Their intestines, etc. are only about 3-4 feet long. Ours are more than triple that.
However, if I'm feeling anemic, or I'm craving a burger, I eat it. I'm not going to deprive myself of something I want or need.

The chilly weather. Hot Chocolate with Pumpkin Liquor.

I've heard people (vegetarians) say before that humans weren't made to eat meat, but I don't really understand how they reach that conclusion. Our teeth seem to indicate we should eat an omnivorous diet. The apes from which we evolved eat meat occasionally. I get that most people today eat far more meat than is maybe biologically necessary, but it seems pretty clear to me that we are in fact designed to eat both meat and everything else.

I'm pretty sure our bodies are made to eat meat.  Some people don't have the enzymes to break meat down, but that's not that common.

Our bodies aren't made to break down a lot of dairy.  Because a lot of dairy (like cheeses) are man-made.  Which is why so many people are lactose intolerant.

Humans just consume more meat than our bodies orginally were made to consume.  We eat more meat than veg and we should be eating more veg than meat.
