Re: Post wedding hair

  • Aww I really like it! Only 12 days to go!
  • I can't do blunt ends like that with my face, but I like the length and the way it lays around her face.

  • I haven't had a haircut like that.  What does it do to your face, Fishy?

  • Loving the blunt cut and side bangs.  I had a haircut similar to that and it was super easy and always looked cute when I straightened it :)

  • I can't do blunt ends cause it just looks bad with my hair... but I LOVE it.

I did my wife chop three days after the honeymoon - I didn't do it sooner because the salon wasn't open!

    Congrats and good luck! :)
  • I think it's cute.
  • Well, maybe not so much my face, but I think unless ou have super thick hair and lots of product, it's hard to make it look good.

But, I do think it makes my face look fatter, but I could be totally wrong about that.

  • I'm just sick of having so damn much hair. Too much fine, thick, straight hair that never dries.  Ugh.

  • I think it's adorable! It would be great flat ironed like it is in the picture, but just left normal also.

  • It's a super cute cut, I just know MY hair wouldn't look like that.

  • If you have thick hair and highlights, it will look great. The highlights add a lot of texture to the style. I think its adorable.

  • My hair is straight enough that I think putting some stuff in it wet would be enough.  Sad, huh?

  • I think thick straight hair would be perfect for that cut. go for it!

  • I think it's cute! That's about the cut (lenght/amt of layers/length of bangs) that I have now, but I can't for the life of me get my hair to look like that.

I also think it makes my face look fat, but oh well. I liked it at first but I think I just get bored too easily and now I want it long again.

  • Super cute and good for lots of styling options later.
  • I don't get why people cut their hair after they get married.  Just because you have a new husband doesn't mean you need to get a new look.  I am not attacking you sprite.  Just anyone in general.

PS.  that cut is really nice.  You'd have to style it every day though.  I do not miss my short hair.  Waking up looking like medusa every morning.  Not my favorite.  I hate doing my own hair.

  • Mandy, impart to me your wisdom.  I'm mostly sick of my hair for getting in my face, never drying, but if a blow dry my hair it fries and fries quickly (even with product in it) and FI laying on it regularly.  My hair is also stick stick stick straight so it does NOTHING.  If it is shorter it is more inclined not to suction onto the top of my head.  Do you have hair recommendations?

  • I like it.

I wish I could do short hair, but I have really curly waivy hair, and long is the only way to go.

  • This is what I wanna do post-wedding.  I've actually used that Kristen pic before for a haircut but my hair is way thinner than that so it didn't turn out exactly the same.  Mandy, I've been growing my hair for months so it can be pulled up and I hate it long so that's my excuse :)

  • It's cute, and basically similar to how my hair is right now, but you have to use product to make the ends look like that picture.  I just blowdry mine with a round brush and flat iron it and it doesn't look like that.  If I used a pomade on the ends to really make it chunky, it would.  So it's not just the cut, it's also how you style it.

  • Why not just get it cut now? It would still look really cute styled for the wedding. I still go every 6 weeks to keep my short haircut up because I enjoy it, and I'm not going to make myself miserable for the next 6 months with hair I hate just to have it longer for my wedding day. I'm going to look as feminine and sexy with my chin length bob on my wedding day as I would with an updo or cascading curls. But, to each her own.

  • Night, I'd start slow, cut off a few inches, play around with different styles.  Lots of layers will help give your hair more body.  Throw some rollers in it when it's damp/almost dry.  That hair cut *might* stick flat to your head.  It really depends on the person and the thickness of your hair and what not.

That hair cut is super cute though and since your hair is stick straight it shouldn't be too bad to style.  Just be prepared for crazy hair in the mornings!!  When I had shorter hair I'd wake up with my hair sticking straight up.

Let me know what you decide on :)

I'll be cutting mine because I've been growing it out for the past 2 years and I'm getting the itchy fingers and wanting to cut it off. it's not because I'll be married, but because I couldn't cut my hair before. if I'm forbidden to do something (and I'm forbidding myself to cut my hair higher than my shoulders), then I want to do it more.
