*Rupertpenny* or anyone with limited garden space

I don't know what I did to make this italicized, but I can't make it go away...I tried ctrl I and clicking the box below...

Anna/Rupert,
I need to pick your brain about your deck garden.
Do you plant different plants in the same containers?  I recently bought 2 Earthboxes (http://www.earthbox.com/EarthBox-Container-Gardening-System-Green/productinfo/1010264/) which came recommended and Rick Bayless uses them in his Urban Gardens here in Chicago and I'm researching which plants grow well together.  In the past I've always just grown everything separate in their own containers.

Have you tried Fennel?  I've been reading that it doesn't share well others.  Have you had any positive or negative experiences with it?

Here are the seeds that I am currently germinating:
Tiny Tim Tomatoes
String Beans
Fordhook Zucchini
Radish
Jalepenos
Sweet Peppers
Picklebush Cucumbers
Green Onions
Basil
Parsley
Rosemary
Fennel
Arugula

Any experiences growing any of those in the same container?

So far from my research I found that Tomatoes, Basil, Parsley, Onions, and Peppers compliment and help each other.  So one of my boxes might hold those.  And then, I read that Beans, Cucumbers, Rosemary, Radish and Arugula work well together.

Zucchini and Fennel seem to do better on their own.

I guess I'm just wanting to know if you have any pointers on those specific vegetables that I'm planting?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and I just ordered my worm compost bin.  I'm scared and excited about it!  Do you compost at all?
