RSVP Help!

I'm sure this has been posted on here maaaany many times... but:

Is it proper to ask invited guests that have not RSVPd  if they plan on coming? We set our deadline for the 10th (yesterday; a month and a day before the wedding). We expect others to trickle in after the fact, obviously, but that gives us two weeks to solidify tables, catering, linens, place settings, etc. (which includes payment to the hall because payment has to be made at least 2 weeks prior to the event.)

Do we assume people are coming? Do we only count on people that have sent "yes" RSVPs? (Some of the people that haven't RSVPd are actually in the BP, the others are my aunts and uncles...) Any advice would be muuuch appreciated!!

Re: RSVP Help!

  • In a few days call them up and ask them.  If they tell you they aren't sure yet tell them if you don't know by X date you're going to have to count them as no.

  • Def give them a call. If you just assume they're all coming, you'll be out some money.

<div>I would give people the rest of the week for them to come in, and start calling or contacting people on Saturday that you haven't heard from yet.</div>

  •  If it is past your RSVP date feel free to call and ask them at any time. If they still won't commit tell them that if you don't hear from them in a week you will have to count them as a No.
