The engagement ring post got me wondering. It always surprises me when someone's SO picks out an engagement ring they don't like. It seems to me that if you're marrying someone you would either know enough about them to pick it out unaided, or have the good sense to ask them and get an idea of what they'd like. So does your H pick stuff you like? Or has he gotten jewelry for you that isn't your style at all?
