NER Changed my handle

I guess I hang on this board most.... It's Britni.

I decided I should have a slightly more anonymous handle. FMIL called me today to tell me about this wedding board her friend told her about called "The Knot" and asked if I ever heard about it.

All drama in my relationship extends from her. I don't want her to see that my vents or advice to people is a result of her so easily if she ever googles just right. Eep!

Plus, now I'll be profoundly excited when people address me as "Muppet".

Ok...I have a stupid question??

I too wanted to change mine...do I have to delete account or can this be done in the setting somewhere?  I tried looking but couldn't figure it out...  Can you share? Thanks.

I asked on CC and they said you have to make a new account. So...voila.

I didnt want to delete my account because I used the planning tools and I don't want to re-input all that to another account (like addresses and vendors and budgets etc).  Wanted to note that in case you did the same. It would've been an obscene amount of effort lost.

I've considered this but they don't allow you to just change your name and I felt like I put so much effort into my posts and responses that it would stink to start all over. I saw the 3 options as starting over as a completely new person, starting a new name but saying who I was but then I was concerned if someone was truly following my posts they'd figure it out, or staying w my name but being less personal with posts. I'm staying w option 3 for now but I reconsider every week.

I was married  the first time in 2007 and started my previous handle in 2005 or 2006...i forget. I posted actively for a few years...  none of those people are still here....I started posting again here a few weeks ago and my wedding is in 7 months.... I figure if I make a quick announcement and keep the same icon.... eh ill be fine.

LOL. Yeah, wasn't trying to deceive anyone. I'm not a different person...figured that would be an indicator to anyone who notices me if they missed the post
