I WORE A SHORT DRESS!!!!! We ended up JOPing it, but originally were going to have a DW in Hawaii. I love short dresses.

I almost, almost bought one! I'm happy that I went with a long dress, but the styles that I wanted were styles that I could wear at a different time.

I think that short dresses can be wonderful! Every time I've seen a bride wear one, it's been perfect for her.

I know that buttaflai wore traditional Vietnamese attire for her ceremony and then changed into an awesome short dress for the reception. She hasn't posted a lot lately, but she got featured in The Knot's Real Weddings. I'll see if I can find a link.

I tried on a short dress (my BM picked it out) and I actually really liked it....still do. We were even throwing around a 2-dress idea (1 for ceremony/1 for reception)?? But I dunno (I'm still TOO early.) But yeah...I think short dresses are gorgeous.

Were having a daytime, brunch, beachwedding, and I have opted for a dramatic, SHORT to long dress - think barococo meets punk rock. Im a little worried about the shortness of it right now, but its still coming together. If I feel its still too short, I will add a ruffle. Im actually creating a frilly, ruffled hodge podge dress made from recycled vintage dresses and petticoats. The fabrics have a patina unique to vintage, and it all works with the ECO theme we're going for.

I just hope it turns out beautifully, it a bold choice, so Im a tad nervous...

I am too! Just got it at David's bridal...yay! It was so cheap! Need to lose 20 pounds and tone my arms but I have plenty of time!
