kids food at reception!

While reading another post about kids at weddings I realized we have not made any provisions at ours for kids meals. We are having a buffet, simple but elegant food, but very adult food. I was not raised on chicken fingers or mac and cheese, my mom served us whatever she liked to eat, foie gras, couscous, salmon, so I would have been fine as a kid there, but now I am worrying about Fis familys kids, his fam eats more steak and potatoes and spagetti and chicken fingers as adults, and we know that our food may be a stretch for some of the adults altho we tried not to get too crazy, and keep it simple, (his dad is planning to only eat our pasta dish, cheese and brocolli tortellini, even tho tortellini is 'girly food' because he is hoping it will taste like broccoli and cheese soup)
Should we worry? our menu is listed in the contract with the caterer, so I am hesitant to just up and add anything.

[QUOTE]I don't usually comment on a lot of grammer stuff, but holy cow!  Commas are not substitutes for periods. When I read your post, it reads like this: wellwewanteditprettysimpleandlightitsgoingtobeaugustoutsidesoheavyfoodwouldnot beasappetizing,Chickenwithbruschetta, chickenkiev, ricootaandbrocollitorettiniinabutter sauce, orzosaladwithpinenutsandscallionsandotheryummystuff, roastedredpotatoes, steamedgreenbeans, crudites, garden salad, caprese salad, andassortedbreads.

I agree with what you're saying here, but if you're going to correct someone's "grammer" you need to spell the word "grammAr" correctly. :)
  • We are having at least a dozen kids at our reception and have decided on a kids table. It will be covered in butcher block paper, box of crayons at each place, so they can color on the "tablecloth"; paper plates, chicken nuggets, jello squares, grapes and wheat thins. We're really doing this so the parents can enjoy themselves without worrying about their kids going crazy at the grown up buffet. We'll also have juice boxes at the table (which will be in a corner, and tended to by a couple of teen family friends to help out).

  • We are doing chicken nuggets for the kids.  Our venue is charging half the cost of adults for kids under 8.
