Thank you question

I had one of my showers this weekend back home.  It was great!  A bridesmaid's mom attended and gave us cash for the shower.  As she was leaving, she also gave me a wedding card with more cash in it and said she wanted to give it to me now since they wouldn't be able to attend.  I was going to write her a thank you for the shower gift, but I was thinking about just combining the thank yous into one since they would be arriving pretty much together and say pretty much the same thing.  Would this be bad form??

Re: Thank you question

  • Since the gifts were for two seperate purposes, I would do two seperate thank you notes.
  • I would just write the one note. You received both gifts on the same day, at the same place. I feel that if she gave you a toaster and some money for the HM, you'd probably just write one TY, although they're two separate gifts for two separate things.

    "Dear Julie,

It was so nice to see you at the shower, especially since you won't be able to make it to the wedding! Thank you so much for your generous gift to us! FI and I plan to use the money toward ______________. Thank you so much for celebrating with us as we prepare for this exciting time in our lives!

    Love,
    Bride"
  • I would do one note.
  • Thanks ladies!  I thought it would be easiest and best to combine them too.  Jess, I love the wording!  Perfect!  Thanks again!
